"From the desk of Peter J. VanDerSchaar, president IBCMT
Our co-worker Eleonore Blaurock has put forward in several media that she does not want to be associated with IBCMT anymore. I regret this decision, because we all have cooperated many years in good harmony.
Mrs. Blaurock does not want to take part in an organization that discusses the [OligoScan|Oligoscan]] in our Textbook. She comes to that verdict on the basis that she is a scientist and has many years experience with spectrophotometry. Mrs Blaurock does not have any experience with the Oligoscan and did not want to investigate it.
Mrs Blaurock considered the Oligoscan as a scam, but without detailed argumentation. Our argumentation, based on intensive utilization of the instrumentation (more than 500 tests by Dr. Raymond Pahlplatz) was not paid attention to.
Initially I was very sceptic about the Oligoscan, but my curiosity prevailed over my scepticism. My conception is that curiosity is the basis for a scientific approach.
In our opinion the Oligoscan is not a stand-alone instrument but should always be combined with a Provocation test on toxic metals.
