About the closure of the Lyme Disease Clinic

The closure of the Lyme Disease Clinic to patients was a difficult decision for Dr Joshua Berkowitz but he felt it is the best decision for both clinic and patients.

The Covid-19 pandemic has meant many patients have not been able to travel to the LDC clinic from around the world and across the UK for treatment, thereby reducing numbers and making the clinic financially unsustainable to run in the centre of London. Equally, a fully functional Lyme clinic needs a full-time team of Lyme literate doctors and nurses to run it and support patients.

Lyme disease is still a very under-supported disease in the UK meaning that attracting committed Lyme doctors and nurses has been an ongoing challenge. Without a team of consistent Lyme literate staff and specialist doctors, Dr Berkowitz was responsible for all our patients which is an unsustainable model for a Lyme clinic with the kind of services we wanted to offer patients. Although we have closed our Lyme clinic, we are continuing to support Lyme patients who need diagnostic blood tests (via the USA or Germany) and support services which include:

The sale of alternative treatment protocols, MakeWell products, supplements.
Various IV supportive infusions including Vitamin B, Vitamin D injections and glutathione.
    Ozone (Ten-Pass) therapy.

We are no longer prescribing antibiotics/disulfiram to Lyme patients.

Dr Berkowitz and his team at 48 Wimpole Street are happy to provide Lyme support services to Lyme patients as long as they are already under the care of Lyme literate doctor. For more information about our Lyme support services, or to get in touch with the team please contact us on:
