Wiley Brooks ist ein US-Amerikaner, der behauptet, ohne Nahrung leben zu können. In einem eigenen Lichtfasten-Institut bildet er Aspiranten für sehr viel Geld zum "wahren Lichtfaster" aus, was nach seiner Darstellung "ein multidimensionales Wesen" mit Edelmetallen im Blut sei.

Brooks verkündet auf seiner Homepage, seit mehr als 30 Jahren nichts gegessen zu haben. Dass ihn mehrere Zeugen 1983 in einem Fast-Food-Restaurants namens Seven-Eleven beim Einkauf von Hot-Dogs und Süßigkeiten gesehen haben, begründete er damit, dass ihm eine Junk-Food-Diät helfe, die Balance innerhalb der ihn umgebenden Junk-Kultur zu halten. Um beim Einkauf von Fast-Food nicht gesehen zu werden, kletterte er nachts aus einem von der Straße aus nicht einsehbaren Fenster seines Hauses.
