There is a small startup company in Athens named "Defkalion Energy" resp. "Defkalion Green Technologies S.A."<ref>http://www.defkalion-energy.com/</ref><ref>http://newenergytimes.com/v2/sr/RossiECat/docs/DefkalionBoardRegistration.pdf</ref> (named after [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deucalion Deucalion], son of Prometheus in Greek mythology), owned by various investors who, according to Rossi, shall produce some of the energy catalyzers. However, at the end of July 2011 it came to a dispute and to the end of the collaboration. Rossi announced that he would sue Defkalion.

on July 2013, there has been a public online demo of Hyperion (called “R5”, but aslo known as “the greek E Cat”) in DFK Europe (reseller of Defkalion Green Technologies for the whole Europe) site in Milan.
  −
The demo raised a lot of question, especially as it appeared to be too silent for the supposed pressure reached in small tubes, temperature of the room seemed not enough hot considering the reactor was running for a long time, no sign of the alleged Tesla 1.6-1.8 field seemed present and the output steam had been hidden.
  −
  −
On 4 august 2013, DFK Europe was reported to freeze relationship with DGT due to doubts abiut results of that demo <ref>http://www.e-catworld.com/2013/08/04/defkalion-europe-freezes-relationship-with-defkalion-green-technologies-over-measurement-issues/</ref>

  −
Around the end of 2013, DFK Europe site was closed and the society apparently disappeared at least from web.

On 12 may 2014, Mats Lewan reported a DFK Europe CTO's [http://animpossibleinvention.files.wordpress.com/2014/05/dgt-faulty-demo-140502-english.pdf  Report dgt-faulty-demo] about real tricks used by DGT to simulate excess of power that [http://matslew.wordpress.com/2014/05/12/defkalion-demo-proven-not-to-be-reliable  was only apparent]

On 15 may 2014, Next site reported [http://www.nextme.it/scienza/energia/7700-fusione-fredda-intervista-cappiello-defkalion-europe an italian  interview] with another member of DFK Europe CEO in which he clearly stated that DFK Europe had been defrauded and a lawsuit was coming as Hyperion was clearly a scam device and DFK Europe was never in a position to really test it till around the July 2013 demo, when a third party team of testers could measure the real steam flow and discovered it was a fraud.

Despite evidences, DGT CEO Alexander Xanthoulis, at the July 2013 demonstration in Milan, said they had a matter with a flow meter, promised to repair it and to prove Hyperion (R5) was really a fusion machine. Facts are he never did, instead claimed DGT was building a better one, the R6, while still some supporters stated that

1) it was important to look at the future, not at the past:R6 would have cleaned all sins ([https://www.mail-archive.com/vortex-l%40eskimo.com/msg93690.html Peter Gluck])
  −
  −
2) DFK Europe closed, while Hyperion did work, as Ceo members must be the alleged competitors Rossi sometimes tells of when he needs to tell he must hide details so that competitors do not steal them ([https://matslew.wordpress.com/2014/10/09/interview-on-radio-show-free-energy-quest-tonight/#comment-4151 Axil])

which weird thoughts are exactly evidences of how difficult could be to realize a scam is a scam when you really want to believe it: the Greek E Cat has been proved to be a fraud without doubts, but you can find people who believe it was working even nowadays.

On 20 may 2014, Peter Gluck reported in Ego Out  [http://egooutpeters.blogspot.it/2014/05/interview-with-ceo-of-defkalion-green.html an interview] with  DGT CEO Alexander Xanthoulis, who tried to tell a different story, speaking of how much DFK Europe believed till the day before a real third party test was performed (as if believing without evidences should be the correct thing to do) and claiming he would have made them believe again if only he could repeat a test – just a pity he had to run back in Greek due to scheduled job that very day (or days around).
