Bei einer Bildersuche lässt sich lediglich ein anderes Vorzeigen der Bildversion mit deutscher Flagge finden, bei einem anonymen X-Account "Bundeskanzler Parodie Friedrich Merz". Unklar bleibt ob InfraRot selbst die deutsche Flagge in das Bild plaziert hat, und welchen Zweck man mit der Veröffentlichung dieses ausländerfeindlichen Bildes verfolgt hat.
