2014 wurde bekannt, daß die LMHI maßgeblich an der Organisation einer geheim gehaltenen so genannten "Ebola-Mission" beteiligt war, die zum Ziel hatte die Homöopathie an Erkrankten des Ebolafiebers in Liberia während der Ebolafieberepidemie 2014 auszuprobieren.
