Steven Emerson (* 1947) is an american journalist and frequently called a pundit on terrorism. He is CEO of "The investigative Project"

He rose to international attention, when he stated in a Fox News interview that Birmingham is a no-go area for muslims: He explained he wanted police to bring him to the muslim populated areas, which he claimed police refused to do as they dont dare to do this themselves.[1] The conservative PM of Great Britain Cameron thus called him an "idiot".

Emerson later apologized on his website and explained he had relied on unreliable sources (aka himself) and donated a few hundred dollars to childrens hospitals in Birmingham.

Emerson has a record of producing laughable statements [2]

  2. Why is Steve Emerson still a “terrorism expert”? [2]
