Die Ausgangsspannung soll dabei bei 12 bis 13 V (Gleichspannung DC) liegen, und bei Belastung sollen sich Ströme bis zu 8,3 A (DC) ergeben können. Allerdings benötigt der SKLep laut Hersteller auch eine zugeführte Leistung von 1 Watt (12V DC, 83 mA), sodass sich eine Nettoleistung von 99 W ergibt. Zum "Start" benötigt das Gerät eine Art Starthilfe durch eine Stromquelle. Genaue Angaben dazu werden nicht gemacht. Allerdings solle sich mit der Ausgangsspannung auch ein Akku laden, der zur Speisung der Eingangsleistung verwendet werden kann, sodaß sich ein [[Perpetuum Mobile]] ergeben würde. Andererseits behauptet Rossi dass sein SKLep nicht ohne ein herkömmliches Wechselspannungsnetz funktioniere, und vor allem eine Erdung notwendig sei.
